Portbou registers the warmest night since data has been recorded in Catalonia

Portbou, in the Alt Empordà, has recorded the warmest night since records began in Catalonia. The minimum temperature did not drop below 31.9°C at any point, due to the re-heated tramuntana wind. This is known as a scorching night. All of this is the prelude to a day that will be suffocating.
