BarcelonaThe irregular showers that have been falling since early afternoon in many regions have resulted in some local downpours accumulating more than 20 or 30 l/m² in just half an hour in the pre-coastal region and in Camp de Tarragona (you'll find all the data at the end of this report). The showers will continue until early evening. They will mainly affect inland areas and areas along the southern coastal and pre-coastal regions. They may be locally heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms, also on the coast of Terres de l'Ebre. Meteocat still maintains a warning for heavy rain in several regions.

The early morning will be increasingly calm, with the remnants of some intense showers in the south that will continue to fade. Tomorrow, a few afternoon showers will be repeated, especially in inland parts of the northern half of the country, as well as in the pre-coastal and other mountainous areas. No significant rain is expected in the coming days, but the weather will not be clear, and some scattered showers will persist. All this with temperatures at bay.

Forecast map for this Wednesday morning.

Wednesday: Time doesn't clean

The early hours will be calmer, with only the occasional light, scattered shower or downpour. This calm will continue into the morning, even with many periods of sunshine in the center and north of the country. However, in the south, there will be remnants of cloudy periods, with the occasional scattered shower over the Ebro River. There will also be morning fog on inland plains and valleys. The exception will be the coast of Valencia and northern Alicante—especially near Cabo de la Nau—and in parts of the Balearic Islands, where there will be some very irregular showers and thunderstorms.

As we continue to experience significant cold air and instability at altitude, clouds will again gather in the afternoon, bringing some very irregular showers and thunderstorms. They will primarily affect inland areas of the northern half of the country and the pre-coastal area. Some storms will again be strong and locally accompanied by hail, so Meteocat is maintaining active alerts for the north of the country. They will also fall inland in the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands, in a fairly scattered and localized manner.

Forecast map for this Wednesday afternoon.

All this with temperatures expected to show little change, or at most, a drop of a few degrees. Thermometers are in check, with many readings between 20 and 25°C. The north wind will blow moderately in the Empordà region, while the east wind or light to moderate winds will prevail along the rest of the coast.

Remnants of showers in the coming days

No new major rain storms are in sight, but unstable conditions will persist, and the weather will be rough. The sky will remain changeable due to the presence of dark clouds, and scattered showers will occur daily in some regions. On Thursday, they will be more likely on the southern coast and pre-coast, and in central Catalonia, and on Friday, they will affect even fewer areas. A classic autumn situation will be expected, with temperatures expected to remain normal for some time.

Shower and thunderstorm balance

The effects of dana Alice The Ebro River continues to rain heavily in our country. The torrential and extraordinary downpours have not been repeated, but irregular showers and storms have fallen on Tuesday in many regions, with some local rainfall. The heaviest rainfall has been in the pre-coastal areas of Barcelona and Tarragona, along the southern coast, and in the northern regions of Lleida. Of note are the nearly 50 l/m² accumulated in Almoster (Baix Camp) and the 48 l/m² in Vila-Rodona (Alt Camp), almost 34 of which fell in just half an hour. Also, 26 l/m² fell in half an hour in Sabadell (Vallès Occidental). Last night, most of the showers fell offshore, but some locally grazed some sections of the coast, leaving up to 48 l/m² in Castell d'Aro (Baix Empordà) and 18 in the city of Tarragona. This morning, 19 l/m² also fell in Espolla (Alt Empordà).
