Heatwave surge on a weekend with less rainfall

BarcelonaThe weekend has started with calmer weather than in previous days, although instability has still been the protagonist in some regions, with more showers and thunderstorms in the Pyrenees, Pre-Pyrenees, and the western regions of Catalonia. In the rest of the regions, however, the weather has again been very calm and warm, with intense heat near the coast. The situation will repeat itself on Sunday, when the heat could strengthen a little more at the expense of the showers, which will already be more localized.
Sunday: intense heat
Temperatures will still rise a little more this Sunday, especially along the central and northern coast and pre-coast. It will again be a day of intense heat and humidity, with many highs between 33 and 38 °C, locally higher in Empordà and inland in the Girona regions due to the effect of the south component wind. Sun and calm will dominate, and afternoon showers will be more localized, concentrated in the Pyrenean regions. A profitable day and full of heatwave.
In fact, the Meteorological Service of Catalonia has activated a warning for intense heat on the central coast and pre-coast and in the counties of Girona, with a level of 3 out of 6 (orange) in Baix and Alt Empordà.
Monday: few changes

During the afternoon, showers will repeat in the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees, locally accompanied by thunderstorms and hail. The temperature will drop slightly, with a less warm atmosphere, although it will still remain above the climatic average.
Unbridled heat next week
Maps continue to insist on a new episode of extreme heat for next week. The gust of warm North African air will intensify again, and the atmosphere will be very suffocating in general. 40°C will be reached again in the hottest areas of the interior, sleepless nights will also become widespread in the interior, and we will have suspended dust in the sky again. Calm will dominate, although some afternoon showers, typical of August afternoons, will remain.
