Virtually every time we have an income, regardless of whether we are self-employed or not, we advance a portion of the amount to comply with the obligation to contribute through personal income tax.

The state government assures that the increase in self-employed contributions will be "moderate" and "manageable." But when a self-employed person hears these words, they already know what they mean: that, once again, they will have to pay a little more while everyone else looks the other way.

After the massive rejection of the first proposal, the PSOE now promises small increases and frozen lower income brackets "to guarantee the sustainability of the system." But reality is stubborn: every euro counts for those who wake up every morning not knowing if they'll make ends meet.

We are the driving force of this country: we create jobs, sustain businesses, and give life to towns and cities. Yet, we continue to be treated as if we were the problem. No paid vacations, no guaranteed sick leave, no real security. Only obligations.

When the State needs revenue, it thinks of us. When we ask for support, we find ourselves alone. We're told this time "it won't be that much." But every year it ends up being more, and the rope gets tighter until many decide to pull down the curtain.

This is no longer just a question of economics, but of respect. We cannot talk about progress while punishing those who sustain the country. What's needed is not a "soft rise," but a courageous policy that protects those who take risks.
