16 dancers, one single spool and two photographers
The Valls-born Marta Arjona, together with Weili Chen, publish an unusual four-handed photobook
Móra d'EbreChoques entre miradas is the title of the photo book that the photographer from Valls, Marta Arjona, has published together with fellow photographer Weili Chen. It is a work that not only documents images, but also explores the limits of authorship, chance, and shared emotion.
The project is built upon the analog technique of film swap, a process in which two photographers use the same roll of film without knowing the images captured by the other. The result is superimposed photographs born from chance, without knowing what the other previously shot, where two distinct gazes collide to generate a third, unexpected and profoundly poetic one.
The photo book brings together a selection of the first joint works by Chen and Arjona, who began their creative duo at the end of 2024. Since then, they have not stopped creating under the project Harmony On Film. A total of 16 dancers have participated in the creation of this visual universe, which has led them to territories they had never trodden and which are united thanks to film swap.
