Ona Batlle says goodbye to Barça after three seasons
The Catalan full-back will head to Arsenal after fulfilling her dream of wearing the blaugrana.

These were the first statements by Ona Batlle when she signed for the Blaugrana club in the summer of 2023. Three years later, the footballer from Vilassar de Mar leaves Barça to return - in principle - to England, from where she arrived in her day.
Trained at La Masia, she progressed through all the club's youth categories to Barça B, from where she moved to Madrid CFF to debut in the top flight. Batlle also played for Levante before making the leap to the English league with Manchester United. In England, she established herself as one of the best full-backs in Europe. Barça took notice and, when her contract with the Red Devil outfit ended, brought her back home.
In her first season in Barcelona, Batlle was a key player for Jonatan Giráldez, with whom she achieved the club's first poker: the Champions League (in Bilbao after defeating Olympique de Lyon for the first time), the League, the Cup, and the Spanish Super Cup. With more than 100 games and 14 goals as a blaugrana, the Catalan leaves after having fulfilled a "dream". Everything indicates that Ona Batlle will continue her career at Arsenal, where she will reunite with former blaugrana Mariona Caldentey.
Second confirmed departure
It is the second departure that the Barça club makes official after that of Alexia Putellas. Despite not having confirmation, Ona Batlle was able to say goodbye to the fans on Wednesday at the Johan Cruyff stadium.
