Catalan Nil Llop made his Olympic debut in speed skating, finishing 20th in the 500-meter final. The gold medal was won by American Jordan Stolz, who set an Olympic record. Dutchman Jenning de Boo took silver, and Canadian Laurent Dubreuil won bronze.
