The Celler Masroig opens the fourth edition of the label competition for its emblematic Young Wine
Interested persons will be able to submit their proposals from May 14 to July 31
Celler Masroig has opened the call for the fourth edition of the Novell Wine label competition, an initiative that seeks to select the image that will adorn the bottles of the 2026 edition of this emblematic wine. The event follows the success of participation in the previous three editions and is consolidated as a proposal that combines creativity, design, and wine tradition.
Interested individuals can submit their proposals from May 14th to July 31st. Each participant may submit a maximum of two works. The winery recommends consulting the competition rules, available on their website, and avoiding themes that have already been addressed in previous editions to encourage the originality of the proposals.
The objective of the competition is to find a label capable of representing the values and essence of Novell Wine, a product closely linked to the culture and traditions of the territory. Through this initiative, Celler Masroig maintains its commitment to incorporating new creative perspectives into the image of one of the most representative wines in its catalog.
The jury will be made up of members from Celler Masroig and professionals from the fields of graphic design and communication. The contest results will be made public on September 15th through the winery's official channels.
The winning proposal will become the image of the 2026 New Wine, and the author will receive a prize valued at 3,000 euros.
A benchmark in the recovery of the New Wine tradition
The Novell Wine is the first wine made with the year's harvest and is traditionally associated with the celebration of the end of the grape harvest. Its presentation coincides with the festival of Sant Martí, on November 11th, a date when historically the "espinjolament de la bota" (tapping of the barrel) took place, an act that marked the beginning of the tasting of the new wine.
This tradition, rooted in Catalan wine culture, has undergone a significant recovery in recent years thanks to the impetus of various wineries. Among these, Celler Masroig has established itself as one of the main promoters of Novell Wine in Catalonia, working for more than a decade to reclaim its cultural value and bring it closer to new audiences.
With this fourth edition of the label contest, the winery continues to strengthen the link between heritage, creativity, and territory, while also offering a visibility platform for creators interested in participating in a project with broad projection.
