More personalized attention and more offices

The Tax Agency of Catalonia expands face-to-face attention for the 2025 Income Campaign and intensifies the deployment of human and material resources with 40 offices distributed throughout the country and 152 new positions

With 40 offices open throughout Catalonia, four more than last year, 12 of which are temporary, the Catalan Tax Agency (ATC) has expanded personalized attention for the 2025 Income Tax campaign. This June, in-person consultations at the various points in the office network are thus intensified, after the Agency assisted 25,502 people by phone last month.

The offices are distributed among the cities of Barcelona, Girona, Lleida, and Tarragona, in the Baix Llobregat region, and in the Besòs area. The four new temporary offices, operational for the duration of the campaign, are located in Sant Vicenç dels Horts, Sant Boi de Llobregat, Viladecans, and Solsona.

In this context, and as a novelty compared to the 2024 campaign, the ATC also reinstates in-person attention at its central headquarters, located in the Zona Franca of Barcelona, with nine permanent service points for the duration of the campaign.

Until June 30

Since telephone assistance began on May 6, the ATC has assisted 20% more taxpayers than in the same period of the 2024 Income campaign (21,246 people). The daily average has been 1,500 attendances.

The increase in telephone assistance is due to the fact that "the ATC has been building trust among taxpayers, who are increasingly using its services," as highlighted by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alícia Romero. Now the goal is to continue strengthening the relationship with citizens through in-person assistance.

Until June 30, taxpayers who need help filing their return can go to any of the 40 offices that the ATC makes available to them. They will be assisted by ATC's own staff and by the more than one hundred reinforcement advisors it has specifically hired for this campaign. Taxpayers who wish to receive in-person assistance must book an appointment in advance through the website (www.atc.gencat.cat), the ATC app – available on the Google Play and Apple Store platforms – or by calling 901 22 33 44 (Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.).

The Catalan treasury of the future

This initiative is part of the Government's will to “turn the ATC into the Catalan treasury that, in the future, will be able to manage all taxes generated in Catalonia,” emphasizes Romero. Its managers have been working in this direction since these services were increased last year. “We are promoting a process of transformation and growth of the agency that began last year with a reinforcement of the income tax campaign and must continue in the coming years,” concludes the Minister of Economy and Finance.
