100 new rural agent positions are opened: what are the requirements?

The Rural Agents Corps is immersed in a growth and transformation process to strengthen its operational capacity and adapt the service to the environmental and social needs of the country and plans to progressively scale the Corps up to 1,300 rural agents.

The increase in personnel will allow for strengthening proximity patrolling and territorial presence, expanding operational coverage and improving the response capacity to incidents.

This growth is also accompanied by a territorial and operational reorganization aimed at offering a more accessible, specialized service adapted to the needs of each territory.

The new intakes are, therefore, a key piece of this process. In addition to increasing the available personnel, they allow for addressing the generational turnover of the Corps, in a context in which the Rural Agents must respond to increasingly complex challenges linked, among others, to the effects of climate change, the prevention and investigation of forest fires, the protection of biodiversity and wildlife, and the increase in the uses and pressure on natural spaces.
