Work begins to replace the Olympic Port's concrete pontoons with floating walkways

Work is already underway to replace the five concrete jetties on the Xaloc quay in the Olympic Port with floating jetties. The new walkways, according to Barcelona City Council, will be better adapted to the effects of climate change such as flooding or rising sea levels.
