Two Catalan tourists die in a traffic accident in Saudi Arabia

The Government lamented the accident and the loss of life, and assured that it was in contact with the Spanish government delegation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide assistance if needed. The President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, expressed his condolences to the families of the two victims via social media and wished a "speedy recovery" to the injured. For his part, the Spanish government delegate in Catalonia, Carlos Prieto, stated via social media that he is in constant contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs following the tragic accident. "I deeply regret the news of the deaths of two people and we are monitoring the health of both injured individuals, who have injuries of varying severity and are awaiting a more precise diagnosis," he added.
