LleidaThe Three Kings' Day parade in the city of Lleida will affect, albeit in different ways, the three central bridges that cross the Segre River during the five hours the event lasts on January 5th. Although the parade doesn't officially start until 6:00 PM, the three central bridges will be closed to traffic from 4:00 PM. The parade on the eve of Three Kings' Day will cover a two-kilometer route. The Three Kings, who as always will arrive by train at the Lleida-Pirineus station, will set foot in the city at 5:30 PM. However, the parade itself won't begin until 6:00 PM, and will proceed along Plaça Ramon Berenguer IV; Rambla Ferran; Avinguda Francesc Macià, Avinguda Blondel, and Avinguda Madrid; Plaça Espanya; and again Avinguda Blondel, until reaching the Paeria building around 8:00 PM.

From 4:00 PM, traffic on the axis formed by Anselm Clavé and Príncipe de Viana streets, as well as on the Príncipe de Viana and Victorià Muñoz bridges, will be closed until approximately 7:00 PM. The Pont Vell and Pont de la Universitat will not reopen to traffic until the parade route has finished and the roads are completely clear of floats and spectators. In any case, to cross the river by private vehicle, it is recommended to use the Pont dels Instituts and the Pont de Pardinyes, the only two bridges that are not affected by the parade route at any time.

From 4:00 PM, all traffic will be diverted from Plaça Ramon Berenguer IV. The road closures will be at the intersections of Anselm Clavé with Condes de Urgell, Príncipe de Viana with Condes de Urgell, and Victorià Muñoz with Camí de Granyena. Traffic will then be diverted from Pont Vell and Plaça Agelet i Garriga. The closures will be at the intersections of Avinguda de Les Garrigues with Carrer Agustins, Avinguda de Madrid from Plaça Espanya towards Agelet i Garriga, and Avinguda Segre from Roger de Llúria. Finally, traffic will be diverted from Pont de la Universitat and Plaça Espanya. The planned closures will be at the intersections of Avinguda de València with Avinguda del Estudi General, Avinguda de Joana Raspall with Carrer República de Paraguay, Avinguda de Madrid with Carrer República de Paraguay, and Carrer Acadència with Avinguda de Catalunya. The Lleida bus station will also be affected by the parade, and no buses will be allowed to enter or leave between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM. For this reason, temporary parking will be set up at three different points on Avenida de Madrid and Avenida Joana Raspall for buses on the affected lines, so that passengers can access the area. The taxi ranks at Plaça Berenguer IV and Avenida Blondel will be closed for the duration of the disruptions. They will be temporarily relocated nearby: specifically, to Avenida Príncep de Viana and Avenida Catalunya, respectively. As every year, the Three Kings Parade will disrupt the normal operation of the underground parking garages at Plaça de Sant Joan and Avenida de Madrid. An inclusive parade

The mayor of Lleida, Fèlix Larrosa, along with Maica Artero, head of the Live Arts Department of the Lleida City Council, presented the details of a Three Kings Parade this Tuesday at the Lonja (Silk Exchange). The parade will feature over one hundred artists, sixty children from the city chosen by lottery, the Armats de la caramelo (Candy Armats), as well as personnel from Security, Civil Protection, health services, and law enforcement. There will be twelve floats, and two tons of allergen-free candy will be thrown. In this edition, dance will continue to be part of the royal processions, accompanied by live music. It is worth noting the collaborative work undertaken by the schools (four music schools and four dance schools), the participating groups, and the traditional music ensembles that accompany them. The parade will have eight parts: the first dedicated to popular and traditional culture (with elements such as tadpoles, easels, and the Marraco) and others dedicated to the Chamberlain and the Star; the entourages of the Three Kings Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar; a section about toys and dreams; the coal factory; and a final section about services (Civil Protection and Firefighters). Municipal sources have highlighted the inclusive nature of the upcoming parade with improved accessibility and the addition of a space designed for children with autism spectrum disorders, which will be located right at the entrance where the Kings will exit, at the train station. The parade will also incorporate accessible areas near number 32 and on Blondel Avenue, close to Sant Francesc Square, with the presence of community officers.
