The police force of Barcelona evict an illegal party at the Teatre Grec with 140 people

The Catalan police report around eighty people more throughout the country for various parties in flats, houses, and hotels

BarcelonaOn Saturday afternoon, Barcelona's Guardia Urbana (the city's police force) evicted an illegal party in the Jardins of the Teatre Grec in Montjuïc with at least 140 people. Those attending the macro-party consumed alcohol in the stands and played music with amplifiers on the amphitheatre stage, according to the force. The agents closed all the exits and identified and reported these 140 people for not complying with the health measures and restrictions deployed to control the covid-19 epidemic.

The police have posted the images of the macro party on Twitter.

Police forces have had to intervene in at least four illegal parties across the country. This morning, the Mossos d'Esquadra identified and reported around eighty people for breaking the restrictions decreed by the pandemic.

The agents have detected four mass gatherings, or meetings which exceeded the maximum of six people set by the Public Health Agency, in Les Lloses (Ripollès), Piera (Anoia), l'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelonès) and Molins de Rei (Baix Llobregat), as Rac1 radio station has advanced.

Specifically, the Mossos have evicted a party in a house with 24 people in Les Lloses and have reported them for not complying with the restrictions that limit meetings, and for breaking the municipal lockdown. The situation has also been repeated in Piera, where the Mossos have evicted a home with 28 people who were holding a party.

As for l'Hospitalet de Llobregat, another party has been evicted in a private house with 18 people after the police received a warning at two in the morning. And in Molins de Rei, the Guàrdia Urbana have asked for support from the Mossos to evict a party with 10 people in different hotel rooms.

In Barcelona, the Mossos had to step in on Saturday in two hotels in the Sant Martí district and reported 22 people, 10 in one - and 12 in the other.
