The incident occurred in the early afternoon yesterday on Nápoles Street, in the Sant Martí district. Officers from the Catalan police went to the scene after learning that the body of a man with signs of violence had been found inside an apartment. Police sources told ARA that the crime was committed with a bladed weapon. Investigators from the DIC (Criminal Investigation Division) and forensic officers were immediately activated to analyze and inspect the crime scene. Simultaneously, investigators were informed that a man had attempted suicide on the Barcelona metro. It was then that investigators linked him to the crime, as the man who had attempted suicide was the victim's son. The alleged perpetrator, a 49-year-old man, was taken to a hospital in serious condition, where he remains hospitalized.
