BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a 29-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, who are a couple, as the alleged perpetrators of the latest homicide in Barcelona, ARA has learned. The events date back to March 21, when police discovered the body of a 58-year-old man in an apartment in the Nou Barris district. The victim had several stab wounds and had been dead for days. The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of the Mossos d'Esquadra immediately began to classify it as a homicide.
After ruling out an initial line of investigation that went nowhere, the police turned their attention to the man's roommates, on Valldemossa Street in the Catalan capital. They were a couple, and after several steps, they were able to gather enough evidence against them to arrest them. According to sources consulted by this newspaper, the arrests took place on Thursday, and those arrested were brought before a court on Sunday morning.
