The leader of the Raval pedophilia network is prosecuted for raping four other minors.
Another person involved in the attacks will also go to trial, and the case against four suspects has been closed due to lack of evidence.
BarcelonaThe electrician accused of leading a pedophilia network in Raval and of sexually assaulting a minor under guardianship He will also be tried for assaulting four other minors in an apartment in the same Barcelona neighborhood. The judge investigating the case has gathered "more than sufficient" evidence to prosecute TLM in another of the separate parts of the same case for sexually assaulting four other minors, recording them without their consent to produce child pornography, and then distributing it.
Along with TLM, Barcelona's Investigating Magistrate 7 has also prosecuted another man who allegedly participated in the sexual assaults of the minors and in the recording and distribution of pornography. He also accuses both of them of inducing prostitution. However, in the same ruling, the judge closed the case for four other men who were investigated in this separate part due to lack of evidence: pedophile conversations shared with the leader of the network have been found, but there is no evidence that they assaulted any minors. One of them is being investigated in another case for having child pornography on his cell phone.
This investigation is divided into three different parts. In the first, ready for trial, the leader of the network faces a request for a sentence of 107 years and six months in prison for recording and distributing child pornography, largely stemming from assaults on a 12-year-old girl, under the guardianship of the former Directorate General for the Care of Children and Adolescents (DGAIA). Meanwhile, the judge continues to investigate another part of this investigation with eleven people under investigation, including TLM, with two minor victims: the 12-year-old girl under guardianship and a boy.
The investigator concludes that the leader of the pedophilia network allegedly had sexual relations "repeatedly and habitually" with four minors between the ages of 14 and 17, so most of the time they were below the legal age of consent, 16. The four victims testified before the judge, identified the accused, and explained "clearly and forcefully" that they had sex when they were under 16 years old. One of these rapes, the judge points out, was "particularly humiliating" because it took place in a "sadomasochistic environment," which forced the minor to walk around the room with a dog collar and drink beer from a bowl on the floor, as if he were an animal.
Prostitution and Recordings
The second defendant often participated in the assaults, which could also be joint attacks with TLM. This second man's involvement in the rapes has been proven by the same pornographic recordings made by the electrician. In some cases, the second defendant paid the first defendant for sex with the minors, who received part of the money. Other times, TLM directly offered drugs or money to the minors in exchange for sex.
The investigator also notes that in other cases, TLM had consensual sexual relations with adolescents who were over 16 years old, but recorded them without their permission. Three victims between 16 and 18 years old have been identified and are in this situation. The electrician also recorded some of the assaults on the younger children and then shared them on various chat rooms. The images collected for the investigation show more minors than could be identified.
