Shoot a minor dead in a Barcelona park
Everything points to a group of young people having attacked another in the Sant Andreu district
BarcelonaA minor has died after being shot this Thursday night in Barcelona, as ARA has learned. The events took place after 10:45 PM in Pegaso Park, in the Sant Andreu district of the Catalan capital. Sources consulted by this newspaper explain that several witnesses heard between two and three shots and subsequently saw some young people fleeing the scene. Initial information suggests the victim was 15 years old.
When the emergency services arrived, they found an adolescent with a gunshot wound to the stomach. Despite performing resuscitation maneuvers, the young man ended up losing his life.
For now, everything points, according to witnesses, to a group of young people, some with their faces covered, having approached another group and opened fire on them. The Mossos d'Esquadra have already opened an investigation.
According to initial information, the attacking group consisted of between four and seven people, some with bladed weapons. They approached the victim's group before firing the shots. The Mossos have already found at least one 9-millimeter bullet casing. Consulted sources also indicate that the victim was accompanied by two other people. After the shots, the attackers fled. The Mossos have already deployed several patrols in the area to identify them. The young people reportedly fled in the direction of Meridiana Avenue.
Pegaso Park, as this newspaper reported, is one of the spaces in Barcelona where some of the city's youth gangs are concentrated, according to the approach to the phenomenon that the Mossos are undertaking. Now, it is being investigated whether the incident is related to these gangs.
