The structure of the university entrance exams The exams for 2025 will vary slightly, but the content is usually very similar from one year to the next; therefore, students can get a good idea of what they will expect on June 11, 12, and 13. Below, you can download PDF samples of each exam, separated by subject. You can also consult the test templates that have been created for this year's new entrance exams. Remember that the established time for each test is one and a half hours.

Catalan Language Exams

The exam consists of four parts. The first part assesses text comprehension; the second asks questions derived from the study of literary fact; the third poses specific linguistic questions; and the fourth focuses on written expression. Unlike previous years, this exam is a single part. However, some parts have optional questions. Therefore, you must limit yourself to the number of questions indicated in the statement.

Spanish language exams

In the Spanish exam, you will analyze, understand, and produce texts in Spanish and answer questions about Spanish language and literature. It consists of four parts: the first assesses text comprehension; the second asks questions derived from the study of literary texts; the third addresses specific linguistic issues; and the fourth focuses on written expression.

English exams

The English language exam consists of three parts: comprehension of an oral text (the well-known listening), reading comprehension, and written expression. The essay, which should be between 125 and 150 words, is written based on a topic chosen from two.

Chemistry exams

The test consists of seven questions, of which only four must be chosen. Each question has two sections; therefore, students must complete eight sections in total.

Math exams

The math test consists of six questions, of which you must answer only four. Remember to explain the reasons for each answer, so that you can demonstrate your reasoning.

History exams

The test consists of answering only two of the four questions. Two of the questions relate to the history of Spain, and two to the history of Catalonia.

History of Philosophy Exams

Based on a text by a philosopher, the student is asked to answer five questions, divided into three exercises, some of which are directly related to this text. Remember that in each exercise, you can choose option A or option B (if you don't know the philosopher's text in exercise 1, you can try the other text).

The test consists of two parts, each focusing on the six readings in the course syllabus. Part one: two theoretical questions, a choice of four. Part two: a text commentary, a choice of two options.

Latin exams

The test consists of four exercises, three of which are optional. The first exercise is a common translation exercise. It assesses linguistic and cultural knowledge of Latin literature and Roman civilization.

The test consists of six questions, of which you must answer only four. Remember to explain the reasons for each answer, so that you demonstrate your reasoning.

Biology exams

In this test, you must choose a total of four questions: two of 3 points and two of 2 points. Each of these questions can have as many subquestions as it is worth points. That is, a 3-point question can have up to three sections (each of 1 point).

Art history exams

The test consists of five exercises, but you must choose only two. Two exercises will be commentaries on a contemporary work, and the other three will be commentaries on ancient art, medieval art, and modern art, respectively. Remember that you don't have to complete one exercise of each type. That is, both exercises can be on the same artistic style.
