BarcelonaTeachers and students who have already passed these exams agree: the best way to prepare for university entrance exams is to take past exam papers. The structure of the university entrance exams of this 2025 will vary slightly, but the content is usually very similar from one year to the next; therefore, students can get a thorough idea of what they will encounter on June 11, 12, and 13. Below, you can download PDF examples of each exam, separated by subject. You can also consult the sample tests that have been created for this year's new university entrance exams. Remember that the time allotted for each test is one and a half hours.

Catalan language exams

The exam consists of four parts. The first part assesses text comprehension, the second involves questions derived from the study of the literary fact, the third presents specific linguistic questions, and the fourth focuses on written expression. Unlike other years, this time the exam is unique. However, some parts include optional questions. It is therefore necessary to limit yourself to answering the number of questions indicated in the instructions.

Spanish language exams

In the Spanish exam, you must analyze, understand, and produce texts in Spanish and answer questions about the Spanish language and literature. It consists of four parts: the first part assesses text comprehension, the second involves questions derived from the study of literary facts, the third raises specific linguistic issues, and the fourth focuses on written expression.

English exams

The English language exam consists of three parts: comprehension of an oral text (the well-known listening), reading comprehension, and written expression. The essay, which must be between 125 and 150 words, is written from a topic chosen from two options.

Chemistry exams

The test consists of seven questions, of which only four must be chosen. Each question has two sections; therefore, students must complete eight sections in total.

Math exams

The mathematics test consists of six questions, of which you must answer only four. Remember that you must explain the reason for all answers, so that you show the reasoning you have done.

History exams

The test consists of answering only two of the four exercises proposed. Two of the exercises refer to the history of Spain and two to the history of Catalonia.

Philosophy history exams

Based on the text of a philosopher, the student is asked to answer five questions, divided into three exercises, some of which are directly related to this text. Remember that in each of the exercises you can choose to do option A or option B (if in exercise 1 you do not know the philosopher's text, you can try your luck with the other text).

Catalan literature exams

The test consists of two parts that focus on the six readings of the course syllabus. First part: two theoretical questions, to choose from four. Second part: perform a text commentary, to choose from two options.

Castilian literature exams

The test consists of two parts that focus on the six readings from the course syllabus. First part: two theoretical questions, to be chosen from four. Second part: carry out a text commentary, to be chosen from two options.

Latin exams

The test consists of four exercises, three of which offer optionality. The first exercise is common and a translation. Linguistic and cultural knowledge about Latin literature and Roman civilization are valued.

Applied mathematics exams for social sciences

The test consists of six questions, of which you must answer only four. Remember that you must explain the reason for all your answers, so as to show the reasoning you have done.

Biology exams

In this test, you must choose a total of four questions: two worth 3 points and two worth 2 points. Each of these questions can have as many sub-questions as its point value. That is, a 3-point question can have up to three sections (each worth 1 point).

Art history exams

The test consists of five exercises, but you must choose only two. Two exercises will be commentaries on a contemporary work and the other three on ancient art, medieval art, and modern art, respectively. Remember that it is not necessary to do one exercise of each type. That is, both chosen exercises can be on the same artistic style.
