The man arrested for raping his 21-year-old daughter on the street is free.

BarcelonaPolice have arrested a 40-year-old man in Lleida for allegedly sexually assaulting his 21-year-old daughter in the street. The victim's eight-year-old son, brother of the detainee, was also present in the area where the incident occurred. This Monday, the man was brought before a court and, after testifying before the court for violence against women, was released. However, he is under precautionary measures: he cannot approach the victim within 200 meters or communicate with her.

According to the newspaper Segre As ARA has been able to confirm, the incident occurred at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday outside the La Llotja convention center on Avenida de Tortosa. Specifically, some neighbors called the Guardia Urbana after seeing two people having sex in public. The police approached and identified the two involved. Upon examining their ID cards, the officers discovered they were father and daughter. The young woman then explained to the police that her father was forcing her. The local police referred the case to the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police), who will expand their investigation. According to ARA, the daughter reportedly stated that this was not the first time he had sexually assaulted her.

The girl was taken to Arnau de Vilanova Hospital to undergo a medical identification, and the child was handed over to the mother. The Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) will now investigate whether the man had abused his daughter on other occasions. The detainee is accused of sexual assault with penetration.
