Investigate a school worker in Torelló for sexually assaulting a minor

BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating a case of sexual violence in a school in Torelló, in the Osona region. The child's parents filed the complaint this Tuesday, April 21. Specifically, according to sources consulted by ARA, the person being investigated is a worker at the center who is not part of the teaching staff. The complaint would be for a sexual assault on a minor.
At the moment, the police have not yet arrested this worker and continue to investigate the facts. The Department of Education states that they cannot apply any disciplinary or precautionary measures because the employee does not report to the ministry. The violence protocol has been applied at the center and the USAV (Unit for Support to Students in Situations of Violence) and the Benestar per estar bé program have been activated. The school's families already know about the case after the management sent a communication. The affected center is Doctor Fortià i Solà in Torelló, which has kindergarten and primary school classes. The victim would be from the age group of the youngest.
In a statement, the Torelló City Council assures that, since the facts became known, "all relevant protocols" were applied. "Despite respect for the presumption of innocence, the protection of those affected must be considered paramount," they add. At the same time, they make themselves available to the educational community and assure that they have worked in coordination with the school, the Inspectorate, and the Department of Education.
