Hiker rescued in Pallars Sobirà after being trapped by an avalanche dies

The hiker rescued by firefighters on Monday after being trapped by an avalanche in Pallars Sobirà, between the Bassiero pass and Estany Gelat lake, has died. The victim was a resident of Torelló (Osona), a well-known figure in the town and in the local mountaineering community.
