High-speed shootout: one car opens fire on another on the main road in Vila-seca

BarcelonaOne of Catalonia's most dangerous highways, the N-340, was the scene of a high-speed shootout this Friday. A car opened fire on another vehicle as it passed through Vila-seca, causing the targeted car to crash. The Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) have launched an investigation into the incident, which, according to initial findings, appears to be related to drug trafficking. The incident occurred around 3:00 PM. The first vehicle had more than one occupant, but they managed to escape, and it is not entirely clear how many people were in it. In any case, when the driver opened fire on the second vehicle, they attempted to maneuver to avoid the bullets and ended up crashing. Two people in the second vehicle were treated by paramedics and taken to the hospital for injuries that, according to police sources, are not serious. The Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police), however, believe that more people were traveling in the vehicle that was the target of the shooting, and that they fled after the accident. This further leads the police to suspect that it could be a drug-related conflict.
