BarcelonaA taxi driver had his vehicle stolen this Thursday morning in Barcelona. According to the ARA, at around 12:15, a man threatened a taxi driver and the female clients he was carrying at knifepoint and threw them out of the vehicle. Afterwards, he took the taxi and fled. The incident occurred at the intersection of Calle Mallorca and Paseo de Sant Joan, in the Eixample district of Barcelona. The Mossos d'Esquadra have opened an investigation and are looking for the vehicle. They have already sent the notice to the control rooms of Barcelona, in the Metropolitan Region South and North, in case the taxi leaves the Catalan capital.
The vehicle is a Toyota Prius and this information has already been disseminated by taxi groups in case anyone sees it. The victim has not yet filed a complaint, according to police sources.
According to union sources, they would have seen the stolen taxi heading towards France, specifically in the first service area of Catalunya Nord. French taxi drivers would also have been alerted and are looking for it.
