Barcelona will appoint a new commissioner for the promotion of Catalan in the coming days.

The president of the ERC municipal group at Barcelona City Council, Elisenda Alamany, announced this Tuesday the appointment of a commissioner for the promotion of the social use of Catalan in the coming days, after meeting with the mayor, Jaume Collboni. This will be the first time such a position has been established.
