An 81-year-old French woman dies on the beach at Port de Llançà.

An 81-year-old French woman died this morning on the beach at Port de Llançà (Alt Empordà). The 112 emergency service received the call at 9:18 a.m., outside the beach lifeguard service's opening hours, where the lifeguard service begins at 10 a.m. Medical personnel were unable to revive her.
