The Almeria fire has left 12 dead, 23 missing, 1405 missing and, for the moment, 4,000 hectares burned. This was concluded this Thursday night by Antonio Sanz, Minister of the Presidency, Health and Emergencies of the Junta de Andalucía.

Sanz detailed that the number of deaths has not increased in recent hours, so the official balance estimates that a total of 12 people have lost their lives in the fires and up to 7 official missing person reports have already been registered, although there are 23 more people who are not located.

Regarding the state of the fire, it remains active, but, according to sources from the Junta de Andalucía's Infoca Plan against fires, during the night it has evolved "relatively well within the seriousness and dimensions". In total, about 500 personnel have worked on it.

Forecasts

Early in the morning, the heads of the Junta's firefighting operation will conduct a flight to assess the fire situation and continue with extinguishing efforts.

Roads that had been closed, such as the A-7, have now been reopened.
