Specifically, according to the institute headed by José Félix Tezanos, 84.3% of citizens believe the current Constitution "needs some reform"—66.5% think these should be "significant" changes, while 32.1% believe they should be "minor" reforms. In order of priority, respondents believe modifications are needed regarding "social, economic, and labor rights," while the form of government—monarchy or republic—is only mentioned by 13.8%.

Almost 20% of ultra-nationalist deputies is a percentage that some will find scarce compared to the parliaments of other countries (the extreme right is the third force in Spain and Germany, the second in France, and directly governs in Italy), but in any case it is a worrying percentage.

The far right continues to grow in Catalonia, both the pro-Spanish and pro-independence sides. On the one hand, the Catalan Alliance is expected to increase its support, according to the latest poll by the Generalitat's Center for Opinion Studies (CEO) from this second quarter, rising to between 10 and 11 seats compared to the two it currently holds in the Parliament. On the other hand, Vox is also expected to have more electoral support in Catalonia, to the point that it could overtake the PP. In any case, the Catalan Socialist Party (PSC) would still win the Parliament elections, followed by Junts and Esquerra.

One year later, the two parties are still neck and neck, making their candidates favourites if new elections to Parliament were held now. The Centre d'Estudis d'Opinió has published its first poll of 2022 this Thursday (the first since the end of 2020), placing the Socialists on an upward surge to between 34 and 39 seats, with between 23% and 29% of the vote share, slightly ahead of the Republicans, who would also rise to 33-38 seats with 20-25% of the vote. The survey blurs the option of a triple tie as the one that almost occurred a year ago and points to the decline of JxCat, which would fall from the current 32 seats to a range of between 23 and 28 (13-18% share of the vote).

The 14-F consolidated ERC, Junts and CUP's absolute majority in Parliament and allowed them to continue governing, despite the low turnout (the lowest in a Catalan election). This result, however, has no direct translation to a possible referendum on self-determination: 48.7% of Catalans are against independence, against 44.9% in favour, according to a survey by Centre d'Estudis d'Opinió (CEO) published on Friday. The figures are, more or less, the same as they have been since July 2019, when no was again ahead of yes (between October 2017 and July 2019 yes was majoritarian).

The ERC government alone is only liked by 5.7% of those surveyed. However, the preferences do not coincide with respondents' forecasts: 50.7% believe that the deadlock will be broken thanks to an executive shared by pro-independence forces.
