Eight tons of hashish are worth approximately 16.2 million euros on the illegal market. And this entire hoard of drugs was hidden in an industrial warehouse in a small municipality in the Alt Empordà, in Cabanes. The Mossos d'Esquadra discovered it on October 1st and it has been an intervention that has quickly become one of the most significant regarding drug trafficking this year: in 2026, 15 tons of this drug have been seized, and more than half come from this operation.

The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested three young men for their alleged connection to the shooting death of another 28-year-old man on March 28 at the Parc de les Planes in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. The arrests were made this Tuesday in the same city, and the three arrested youths are 18, 19, and 29 years old. One of them was a minor at the time of the events, according to police sources. In this same shooting, another young man was seriously injured.

Two Civil Guard agents have been injured during a shooting in Terrassa. Sources consulted by ARA indicate that the agents were involved in a pursuit when the individuals they were following allegedly opened fire on them. At least one of the agents is reported to be in serious condition. Both officers have been taken to the hospital. This same night, the Mossos have arrested three people as the alleged perpetrators of the shots.

From his room in a house in Alicante, where he lived with his mother, a 16-year-old boy managed an international network of hackers that had carried out more than 1,000 cyberattacks around the world. This Wednesday, a neighbor from the building where the cobbler's shop he ran was also located saw the shutter half-lowered and suspected that something was wrong. Throughout the morning, he explains to ARA, several neighbors had wondered why the business was closed. Finally, he decided to lift the shutter and found Javi's lifeless body.

The final stretch of the trial of four police officers for blinding Roger Español in one eye during the 1-O has begun with one goal: to clarify as many details as possible about how the shot was fired by the National Police riot officer who now sits in the dock with three commanders. This Wednesday, specialists from the Photography and Audiovisual Unit of the Mossos d'Esquadra's Scientific Police explained their conclusions to the court after viewing all the footage of the day. The officers explained that a frame from the images shows that the shooter did not aim directly at Español, but rather fired towards the ground. The images also show a "black spot," the bullet, which bounces off the ground before striking Roger Español in the face.

Jonathan Andic's defense has sent a list of names they want to testify in the judicial case to the Martorell courts, which are investigating him as the alleged perpetrator of his father's death. He was a friend of a caretaker of a marijuana plantation who owed money to the feared Casuals. They tied him up in a house and threatened him: "Nobody plays with the Boixos Nois," they warned him. Finally, they set him free and this illegal detention was one of the starting pointsof a major judicial case by the Mossos d'Esquadra against the Casuals.Last Saturday afternoon some men dressed as police officers kidnapped another man in the middle of the AP-7, in front of the gaze of many drivers who witnessed how they pulled him out by force, assaulted him, and took him away. Later, they released him a few kilometers away. Apart from coinciding in the method, this latest illegal detention also coincides with that of the Casuals because everything points to it being related to a marijuana plantation that the victim was supposedly guarding and that the police discovered in 2025. On Monday, another man was also kidnapped in Barcelona, beaten up, and released near a gas station in Salt.

The death of the renowned Catalan architect Josep Juanpere was initially attributed to a heart attack. He was with his partner at their second home in Baqueira when, after not answering the phone for hours, his nephew went there and discovered the architect's lifeless body, with his wife by his side. The autopsy is one of the keys to this case, which is open for homicide, and the wife, who this Friday managed to be released on bail by paying 80,000 euros, is the only person under investigation.

The Mossos d'Esquadra have opened an investigation into a suspected second illegal detention in less than 48 hours in the country, after five people disguised as police officers took a man away on the AP-7 this Saturday afternoon. According to what ARA has learned, this second incident took place early this Monday morning in Barcelona, when several hooded individuals allegedly forced a man into a vehicle on Carrer de Huelva. As in the AP-7 case, it was witnesses who raised the alarm about the event.

More updates on the Andic case. One of the elements under investigation by the Mossos d'Esquadra is the lightning trip to Ecuador made by Jonathan Andic, who is under investigation for the death of his father and founder of Mango, Isak Andic. In this South American country, Jonathan Andic claims that his mobile phone was stolen, the same device he was carrying the day his progenitor died. The Catalan police, however, suspected that the firstborn of the Andics got rid of the phone during this trip. Now, a witness has supported the version put forward by the defense: that his mobile phone was stolen in Quito.
