The People's Party (PP) denounces Montero's criticism of Alves' acquittal at the European Commission.

The PP has sent a letter to the EU Commissioner for Democracy and Justice, Michael McGrath, in which it denounces Criticism from Spanish Vice President María Jesús Montero to the acquittal of Dani Alves, considering it a "direct attack" on the rule of law and the separation of powers.

Alves' acquittal opens a new clash between the Moncloa and the judges.
