The King and Queen of Spain attend the commemoration of the liberation of Mauthausen for the first time on the 80th anniversary.

The Spanish monarchs participated for the first time in the commemoration of the liberation of the Mauthausen Nazi extermination camp, where more than 7,000 Spanish Republicans were deported, of whom 4,500 died. The Spanish government has apologized for the institutional neglect suffered until now.
