The CUP (United Left of Catalonia) attacks the "eloquent silence" for "exterminating Catalan" in Alicante.

CUP MP Pilar Castillejo criticized the "overly eloquent silence," also from the PSOE, against the proposal by the Alicante City Council, governed by the PP and Vox parties, to erase Catalan and become a Spanish-speaking region. She said that remaining silent would be "validating the extermination of the Catalan language."
