Spain assures that it continues working for the official status of Catalan in the EU, although it will not be discussed this Tuesday.

EU Secretary of State Fernando Sampedro has asserted that Spain continues working toward the official status of Catalan, Galician, and Basque in the European Union and has downplayed the possibility that it will not be discussed at the EU General Affairs Council this Tuesday.
