BarcelonaSecond sexual assault allegation against Íñigo Errejón. After the the case of actress Elisa Mouliaá, who is one step away from trialAnother woman has accused the former spokesperson for Sumar of rape, allegedly committed in 2021. This was announced last night on Cuatro by her lawyer, Alfredo Arrién, who also represents Mouliaá.
The new accuser, who has requested witness protection due to "fear" of Errejón and the potential media attention surrounding the case—the lawyer details in the complaint that his client was another actress "of recognized public notoriety and potential"—recounts that he initiated contact with her five years ago. First through social media, then via Telegram, and finally in person. After several encounters, according to the complaint filed in the Madrid courts specializing in violence against women, on October 16, 2021, Errejón invited her to a party in Móstoles, where they both consumed alcohol and cocaine, and the politician allegedly pressured the woman to perform oral sex on him.
Later, according to the complaint obtained by ARA, they traveled to the Podemos founder's home in a friend's car. Inside the vehicle, Errejón "began inserting his fingers into her vagina without her consent," the complaint states, adding that when she tried to stop him, he forced himself on her with phrases like "if you scream, it will be worse" or "if you resist, it will be worse."
The situation worsened when they arrived at Errejón's house and the politician insisted on having vaginal intercourse with the woman. The complainant claims that at that moment she was in a "state of shock" and told the former spokesperson for Sumar that she "did not want to have sex without a condom." Although Errejón's initial response was that "there would be no penetration," he "suddenly and violently" raped her. He grabbed her by the neck, turned her around, and "forcibly penetrated her without her consent," according to the complaint, which maintains that she "repeatedly yelled" at him to stop. The complainant left Errejón's house and only saw him once more, when she again witnessed his "behavior that could be interpreted as controlling, jealous, or possessive." On January 6, 2022, they stopped exchanging messages. All of this, according to the defense, has caused the woman panic attacks and led her to begin psychological treatment. The news comes in the final stretch before Mouliaá's accusation goes to trial. The case is only awaiting a ruling from the Madrid Provincial Court on the appeal filed by Errejón, in which he requests that the case be dismissed. This is the only step remaining before he has to take the stand. The actress He reaffirmed a few days ago his decision to go all the way after having announced shortly before that he was withdrawing the accusation due to an "emotional low," according to his defense.
