The Mossos d'Esquadra officer in charge of the investigation into case number 21 of the Mercurio case pointed to Montserrat Capdevila during the second session of the trial: "This is the beginning of the influence peddling." At the time of the events, Capdevila was the deputy mayor for Economy in Sabadell.
