MadridLeire Díez has filed a complaint against the PP for the crimes of slander with publicity, crimes against moral integrity, and digital identity theft due to a video the Popular Party disseminated on social media, which featured a deep fake of her made with artificial intelligence. “It is created expressly and intentionally to humiliate her, harass her, and cause serious harm to her dignity,” the document, which ARA has had access to, denounces. It laments that the dissemination of the content is generating “extremely serious and irreparable damage” to the person known as the PSOE’s “fixer” and explains that she has suffered an anxiety attack, that she is being subjected to “all kinds of insults, disparagement, and harassment,” and that both she and her daughters “have had to isolate themselves in their home.”

In the video, Leire Díez appeared saying that she had “hired thugs to get rid of” a judge. This is an allusion to the alleged maneuvers being investigated by the National Court that were supposedly orchestrated by former judge Luis Sáenz de Tejada –with whom Leire Díez met and was in contact– to remove Beatriz Biedma, the magistrate from Badajoz who was investigating Pedro Sánchez's brother. Both of those under investigation have denied the facts from the very first moment. And now, the former PSOE militant again denies having anything to do with it: “The facts are absolutely and categorically false,” she asserts. Furthermore, she accuses the PP of acting with a “reckless disregard for the truth” with the “sole intention of causing harm” and the “unequivocal purpose of undermining” her “honor and dignity.” She argues that in the case opened by judge Santiago Pedraz, there is no evidence of “any action that could make the content of the video even remotely plausible.”

Likewise, Leire Díez wants the judge to require the PP to identify the people who manage its social networks and those who designed and approved the video. She also demands the entry and search of the party's headquarters on Génova Street to access the servers and computers to “identify all the people who have participated in the creation of the video”. Furthermore, she demands an “urgent” precautionary measure that forces the PP to remove the video from all profiles. “The permanence of the video is causing irreparable, devastating, and immediate harm to the honor, social reputation, family environment, and professional sphere of Leire Díez because it is perceived massively as a real confession of a criminal act, despite being absolutely false”, she justifies.
