Historic ETA member Jesús María Zabarte, known as "the butcher of Mondragón", dies

The historic ETA member Jesús María Zabarte, known as "the butcher of Mondragón", has died at the age of 80, according to the digital newspaper Naiz. Zabarte was sentenced to 615 years in prison for 20 attacks and 17 murders, including that of young José María Piris, aged 13.
