Kim Kardashian testified Tuesday at the trial of the alleged robbers who broke into her hotel room on October 3, 2016. The influencer and businesswoman She told the Paris court that the night she was attacked she thought she was going to die. The incident occurred during Fashion Week: she was assaulted and robbed of $10 million in jewelry.

Between 2 and 3 a.m., two hooded men in uniform entered the room where Kim Kardashian was staying, along with the hotel concierge, whom they had restrained. One of the attackers pointed a gun at the celebrity and the other tied her hands and feet with cable ties, as she explained in court: "I was sure they were going to shoot me." Kardashian has also said that she feared being raped, as her robe fell off during the attack and she was tied naked on the bed. The influencer She thanked the French authorities for allowing her to explain her truth before beginning her statement. While speaking, she became emotional several times, recalling the night and the trauma of the robbery: "When I came here for Fashion Week, everything changed." Kardashian also said that at first she was very confused: when the two robbers in uniform broke into her room, she thought it was a terrorist attack. When she realized it was a robbery, she tried to tell the robbers (who didn't speak English) to take whatever they wanted, but not to kill her, because she had babies. "I was quite hysterical," she declared.

Sitting in the dock are nine men and one woman, who are considered members of the group that planned and carried out the attack and who are known for their advanced age (some are over 70), in addition to a long criminal record.

Kardashian's statement at the historic Palais de Justice in Paris has generated great expectation. Throughout the morning, hundreds of journalists gathered near the building awaiting the reality star, who arrived on Tuesday around 1 p.m. accompanied by her mother, Kris Jenner. Dressed in black, with sunglasses and a large necklace, the celebrity was accompanied by a film crew preparing a documentary on the case. The trial began in late April, and the verdict is scheduled for May 23.
