The streamer Aruberuto Makoto, who harassed a girl in one of his videos, justifies himself: "It's humor for men"

The streamerAruberuto Makoto, whose real name is Alberto Alonso, has used social media to justify one of his most controversial videos. The youtuber, who resides in Japan, from where he creates content, has been the target of numerous criticisms for days following a video in which he can be seen sexually harassing a Japanese girl who is clearly intoxicated. In the recording, made in the Kabukicho district of Tokyo, the streamer and the accompanying cameraman make misogynistic and sexual comments towards the girl, who has difficulty walking due to alcohol. "Do you want to have her? Should I ask her if she wants to go to the hotel? This one is free," says Alonso. The cameraman replies: "I'd pin her against the wall".

The content creator, who has a daughter, makes videos about his adopted country and is also a Japanese teacher. While Alonso and his cameraman were harassing the girl, the followers watching the live stream also made comments through a chat, some in the same vein as the content creator's. At one point during the live stream, the creator realizes that the girl has a cleft lip, and both he and the cameraman proceed to laugh at it. Subsequently, a Black man appears who tries to help the girl and ends up confronting Makoto and the cameraman, who also make racist comments. The streamer has 223,000 followers on YouTube and 312,000 on TikTok. Since the beginning of the controversy, his Instagram profile has become unavailable.

After the generated uproar, the streamerhas responded to the criticism with a video in which he does not apologize, but rather justifies his words and attitude. "Yes, my humor is dark. I am a content creator and I dedicate myself 100% to this, although I also have businesses. It's a humor that is among friends, for men. Many times we have gone too far and said foolishness that it was better to delete, for sure. I won't deny it," he says. He argues that, in the controversial video, when he speaks Japanese, he "speaks normally," but when he speaks Spanish, what they say "sounds very ugly." "I'm a beast when I speak, I'm foul-mouthed, but my content isn't for everyone, but for certain people who like it and want to disconnect from their work and laugh," he adds.

Aruberuto Makoto does not fully assume responsibility and blames the Spanish press for the controversy. "The media are manipulating a lot, they cut the video wherever they want. I'm trying to upload the full video to YouTube so that the whole context can be seen, but they won't let me," he remarks. This is not the first time this content creator has made videos with sexist comments and attitudes. For example, he has a video filmed in Korea in which he can be heard commenting on whether the girls he crosses on the street are pretty or not. When he finds one he considers pretty, he approaches her and compliments her.
