Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are getting married in a ceremony officiated by Adam Sandler

A year after announcing their engagement and after months of secrecy and speculation, the pop singer and the American football player have married early this Saturday, as all indications pointed, in a grand ceremony at Madison Square Garden, one of New York's most emblematic venues. The couple has even issued a press release highlighting one detail: the ceremony was officiated by comedian Adam Sandler, one of the most popular American actors of recent decades, star of dozens of comedies but also of prestigious dramas like "Rough diamonds.

According to the statement, Swift and Kelce have also broken bridal orthodoxy and have not had bridesmaids. However, the singer's brother, Andy Swift, accompanied the bride to the altar and the groom's brother, Jason Kelce, served as best man. "The bride's and groom's outfits were created by Christian Dior Haute Couture –explains the statement–. They were designed by Jonathan Anderson, creative director of Dior, in close collaboration with the bride and groom. It is the first wedding dress the designer has created specifically for a world-renowned celebrity." The shoes were by Christian Louboutin and the bride wore jewelry from Cartier.

Among the guests were personalities from the world of music (Ed Sheeran, Miranda Lambert, Camila Cabello, Ellie Goulding, Benson Boone, Machine Gun Kelly) and from Hollywood (Steven Spielberg, Ethan Hawke, Hugh Grant, Dakota Johnson, Zoe Kravitz, Jason Sudeikis, Julianne Moore, Bradley Cooper), but also American football players and friends of the singer such as model Gigi Hadid, actress and director Lena Dunham, the Haim sisters, singer Selena Gomez, presenter Jimmy Fallon and musician and producer Jack Antonoff.

The surroundings of Madison Square Garden have been protected all day by a security perimeter to which guests have been able to access in the hours leading up to the ceremony. Some celebrities have been photographed arriving and others, like Selena Gomez, have shared their outfits on social media. After the wedding, the following message could be read on the electronic screens outside Madison Square Garden: "JUST&T MARRIED".
