Frank Cuesta's statement comes after weeks of controversy and accusations between him and his former right-hand man, known as Chi. The root of the problem is said to have been traced back three months, when Thai authorities The Spaniard was arrested for illegal possession of wild animalsAt that point, Chi was targeted as a potential anonymous whistleblower. Cuesta distanced himself from him and didn't deny that he was the one who had reported him, which angered his former assistant. In this context, Chi decided to start leaking audio clips on social media in which the former TV host talked about buying wild animals.

In fact, Chi had asked Frank Cuesta to publicly confess to all the lies he had been carrying over the past few years, assuring him that if he did, he would withdraw a complaint he had filed against him. For this reason, several of the Spaniard's followers refuse to believe Cuesta's words and claim that the confession is the result of a "threat." In the video, Cuesta also disassociates Chi from the possible initial lawsuit: "None of the people who were named have anything to do with the complaint."
