Emma Roberts marries in the presence of her aunt, Julia Roberts, but not her father, Eric Roberts

The ceremony took place last Saturday on a private estate near a lake in Sun Valley, Idaho. Among the guests, and in the front row, was her aunt Julia Roberts, but not her father, Eric Roberts, the older brother of the Oscar winner for Erin Brockovich (2000).The father's absence did not surprise the guests, as, as Eric Roberts himself explained in 2024 in his memoirs, his drug addiction caused him to lose contact with his sister and daughter. The actor admitted that for many years he had underestimated his sister's talent, and said that everything he had achieved was thanks to him. At 68 years old, Eric Roberts publicly apologized to his sister and his daughter, of whom he lost custody when he separated from their mother, Kim Cunningham. Now, at 35 years old, the star of the series American Horror Story has decided to take a step forward in her relationship with Cody John. Emma Roberts already had a child from a previous relationship with actor Garrett Hedlund. The bride assured in a statement to Voguemagazine that she had opted for a vintage style dress because “I wanted to look like a ghostly doll”.
