BarcelonaThe official guest of the program The revolt This Tuesday was Anna Castillo, but among the public the collateral protagonist of a a program that is making headlines. Before the Catalan actress entered the stage, Broncano discovered that in the stalls was Edmundo Bal, the deputy of Ciutadans who was expelled from the party in 2023.

"I'm not mistaken, hadn't you approached a microphone?" said his co-workers, state lawyers. "What were you, the UPyD candidate?" Broncano snapped at him amid the laughter of the audience before the microphone was handed to the former politician. Still disoriented by the attention of those attending the event, the cameras and the presenter, Bal took a while to get into the dynamic that was proposed to him.

"Is Ciudadanos still going or is it still a matter of playing indoor football?" the host of the RTVE programme asked him again. "Now [the party] is not running, but I was kicked out of Ciudadanos," Bal began explaining about the invitation to leave the party that he received from Adrián Vázquez, current MEP for the Popular Party and then general secretary of the orange party. "Is it like the Fabrik car park?" the presenter asked him ironically, referring to a discotheque on the outskirts of Madrid. It was the first moment that the State lawyer laughed at Broncano's jokes, since until then he had remained distant with the informality of the programme. "They have money, that's true [...]. It's like a neighbourhood association," the former politician commented about his former party colleagues, starting to get into the game.

Despite the change in life, Bal also explains that from time to time he meets with Albert Rivera, who he says is "the president of a business club and he dedicates himself to his things." Regarding the return to politics, the current State attorney was clear. "I'm not threatening anyone, I'm not going to run for anything," he clarified smiling alongside his current coworkers. Before ending the conversation, Bal returned Broncano's irony: "If they mess with you, call me."

Some of the cuts of the conversation between the two have been published on X's account on the program The revolt with the text: "Do you remember Ciudadanos?" and the orange emoji. The post has been widely shared on social media and has taken up some of the spotlight on the show.
