Trump in Netanyahu's service
The meticulous account by the journalists of The New York Times published by l’ARA confirms what was obvious from three hours away: it was Netanyahu who dragged Trump into the war against Iran. The Israeli prime minister enthusiastically sold him a product of the type “What could go wrong?”, tailored to the scattered and capricious attention span of an egomaniacal president. And it worked.
According to the published information, the director of the CIA opined that the scenarios presented by Netanyahu were "absurd", the Secretary of State added "they are bullshit", the Vice President considered it a "disaster", and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said that the Israelis’ plans “are not always well-developed".
A state is the sum of capabilities and experience. Those of the United States are gigantic. And although in matters of military and security they have committed all sorts of errors, forced, unforced and even conscious, such as the Iraq war, the American machinery is so overwhelming that beyond the corporate, political and personal interests of its circumstantial leaders, there was only one way to act after hearing such a unanimous verdict. But Trump went to war according to his known dependence on aggressiveness, noise, prominence, and money. And the rest is history. An unfortunate history, which has not yet ended and is proving very costly. It is precisely for this reason that the White House spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, who claims that Israel is behaving like a reliable partner of the United States, is even more pathetic. It has been the other way around.
