The agreement between the US and Iran is another phase of the war

Among President Donald Trump's motives for offering a memorandum of understanding to the Totalitarian Shia Theocracy of Iran (TSTHI) were: saving the Soccer World Cup in the United States (he didn't want to disturb this great business with the sound of missiles), lowering fuel prices before the November midterm elections, and finding a dignified way out of the quagmirein the Persian Gulf after failing to overthrow the regime as an electoral asset.

For its part, the TSTHI, after the harsh defeat in the war and fearing a new popular rebellion as a consequence of the catastrophic management of the country by a mafia oligarchy that has intensified executions, had no other way out: it needed breathing room. Thousands of citizens have lost their lives, their homes, or their jobs; Ali Khamenei and a good part of the country's political and military authorities have been assassinated; its cherished nuclear program has been buried under tons of bombs and rubble, and its ports – from which a good part of exports and imports are made – were blocked, preventing the arrival of food and medicine.

“To immediately and permanently end military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon” is the first point of the memorandum of understanding. That the TSTHI insisted on including it, despite being aware that Israel will not cease attacks on the land of cedars until Hezbollah is disarmed, has not been a gesture of solidarity – after all, Gaza is not included – but of necessity: Hezbollah, which is not a proxy but the Lebanese branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, is its great advantage against Israel in the next round of war that is approaching. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could not be more pleased: he is already using it to sabotage the pact.

While the US has managed to get the TTXI to open, even if temporarily, the Strait of Hormuz, none of the Islamists' wishes will be fulfilled. Point 4 of the agreement, for example, promises "the withdrawal of US forces from the vicinity of Iran". Send their 50,000 soldiers home and hand over nothing less than the Persian Gulf to China? Or point 7, which assures that the US would end "all sanctions imposed" against Iran. To do this, the US Congress, which is under the influence of the powerful Zionist lobby AIPAC, would have to approve the measure. And, in reality, Trump has only allowed Iran to sell oil to the US for 60 days. At the same time, point 11 provides that, if all goes well, "the US will release Iran's frozen or restricted funds and assets", valued at billions of dollars. But Trump qualified it a few days later: they will not give a single dollar to Iran, but to American agricultural companies, so that they send corn and wheat to the country, which will make the situation of Iranian crops even more difficult. Despite everything, even if the US sent the money, it would be like putting a band-aid on a body incinerated in a fire: estimates of the damage inflicted on Iran in the war range between 300 billion and one trillion dollars.

On the other hand, the Trump administration has stated that Iran has committed to destroying its enriched uranium, suspending its nuclear program, and allowing US inspectors to visit its nuclear sites. The TTXI has denied everything.

“There is no other choice but to build an atomic bomb” is the headline published in the newspaper Fars, close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard. Meanwhile, the head of the national security commission of the Iranian Parliament, Ebrahim Azizi, has announced a reward of 50 million dollars for killing Donald Trump for the assassination of Khamenei. And 63 out of 88 members of the Assembly of Experts, the highest body of the theocracy, have called the agreement with the US illegal and have ordered the elimination of Trump and Netanyahu.

For its part, the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, in a joint statement with the US, regrets that the agreement does not address Iran's missile program or its interference in the countries of the region through mercenary armed groups.

The vital objective of the TTXI, today led by a military junta, is to build a Shiite empire above national interests. Thus, it uses war to export the insurmountable internal economic, political, social, legitimacy, and human rights crisis that the country is suffering: the food inflation growth rate is 130%.

For Trump, whose main concern is the energy issue, the ideal situation is the "Israelization" of the war: to have Netanyahu finish the “dirty work” against Iran (overthrow the regime) on behalf of the West – a qualification used by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Thus, the memorandum of understanding favors Trump in the midterm elections while harming Netanyahu ahead of the upcoming October parliamentary elections. And we already know the modus operandi of the genocider of the Palestinians.
