1. Next Sunday, on Saint Peter's Eve, it will be seven months since the first wild boar infected with African swine fever was detected. Since then, 344 out of 7,354 analyzed wild boars have tested positive. Or, to put it the other way around, there are 7,010 animals captured in the risk zone that have tested negative and were roaming so contentedly. In the last week, specifically, the Department of Agriculture has confirmed two new cases of African swine fever in the area that already encompasses nineteen municipalities and the access roads to Collserola Natural Park. One of these two infected boars was roaming near Sant Just Desvern, the other was living in Castellbisbal. Given that samples from 569 wild boars have been analyzed in one week, that only two have tested positive means that the number of infected animals is 0.4% of the boars.

2. These are the figures updated weekly by the government for everyone – including wild boars. The public, on the other hand, has the feeling that not enough is being done, that it's not being done fast enough, and that it's been too many months without being able to walk around Collserola and its surroundings. And then people who are already suspicious, who have had to find ways to walk in less green areas or have had to reinvent bicycle routes on paved roads, turn on the "Telenotícies" and see that the film that was supposed to be shot in the forests of Sant Cugat, within the restricted zone, is indeed being filmed. Although on May 22nd the Generalitat froze its production, a month later the filming of The last druid is moving forward with the approval of councilor Òscar Ordeig, who appears on TV justifying it. Onwards, then. Cameras, extras, props people, set designers, catering staff, and everyone inside to keep producing Russell Crowe's film. Of course, the news shows how they have fenced off the area with wire and how carefully they disinfect the tires of the vans when they enter and leave the perimetrated area. Meanwhile, restaurants and businesses in the area have been losing money for half a year because customers cannot access them.

3. moves forward with the approval of councilor Òscar Ordeig, who appears on TV justifying it. Go ahead, then. Cameras, extras, people from4. In fact, it is being done. But the communication doesn't get through because between Zapatero's gems, Trump's outbursts, and Raphinha's injuries, we are distracted by other things. The data, however, are conclusive. Since January 1st, in Catalonia, 26,587 wild boars have been captured. Within the risk zone, 57 traps and 60 pigbrigs, which are collective traps, have been installed. And, just last week, we had 1,744 people hunting and capturing wild boars. The data I haven't managed to find, however, is how many wild boars are left and from what number people will have the same freedom as Russell Crowe.
