Graphic jokes, intelligent graphic jokes, are my weakness and my ruin. I always have on my writing desk the books of jokes about literature (about writers, above all) from the magazine The New Yorker, which was my first book purchase when I first stepped into the luminous city of New York. Every joke world it is so, so fun, it makes you feel so, so smart, so member of the circle... Thursday, November fifth, this newspaper surprised me with a graphic joke on the front page, which made me laugh with complicity and surprise. “Wow”, I whispered. It was a front page that could make young and old, students and workers laugh or smile or open their eyes in that way.

A newspaper publishes its front-page headline every day, accompanied by a large photograph. It is the news of the day. The news of the day is there and the newspaper, depending on where it leans, will hide it or show it. It was the day the Democrats had annihilated Donald Trump in Congress and the Senate. The cover was a baseball cap, the typical cap that symbolizes Americans and also Donald Trump, who has often worn it with the motto "Make America Great Again". It was red in color, and like so many baseball caps, it bore the inscription on the front, from the sponsor. The letters of the team, of the brand... The letters on the cap were two, white, stitched on. The K and the O. KO.

Nothing else was needed. It was a very good joke and at the same time informative. Ah, yes, what a great cover, so well thought out, what a subtle laugh when seeing it at the newsstand and on the devices of those who read on public transport. The authors of the brilliance have everything paid for, it goes without saying.
