The world does not spin round, but the planets have decided to align. It seems like a good omen if we believe in the luck that can come with an occasional astronomical event, although if you look at the small print, science will take care of dismantling your fantasy. It is unusual for seven planets orbiting the Sun to be seen at the same time, in fact it is a phenomenon that will not be repeated again for another 400 years, but the planets will appear aligned from our terrestrial point of view. In reality, they are not. It is a delusion optics. But lacking collective joys, illusions are welcome, optical and all.

What is also very aligned, but does not create any illusion, neither optical nor emotional, is the global arrogance of the political class, if we can still talk about class, in the sense of elegance, and politics, in the sense of making it. Trump, who tries to be news every day and achieves it by making it bigger and by making us take the bait, now says that the EU "was created to annoy" the US. Egocentric people consider that everything revolves around them, planets included, aligned or not, and therefore nothing that they consider to orbit them is done out of self-interest but out of a desire to flatter or annoy them. They are the center of the world. Perhaps it is not a bad idea for the EU, now that it has been wandering in outer space for some time, to take up Trump's words and, rather than "bothering" the US, to limit its dependence and act as a counterweight to increasingly dangerous and delirious policies. I am not able to say anything about the obscene video about Gaza because I have not yet gotten past the first few seconds. I wish it were an optical illusion, but I know it is a gruesome reality, however unreal the images may be.

Another textbook example of pretentiousness is the still president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón. Four months later he admitted that on the day of the DANA he arrived at the Integrated Operational Coordination Centre (Cecopi) at 8:28 p.m. Shortly after the catastrophe he said he had arrived at the centre at 7:30 p.m. Faced with this contradiction, and as if nothing had happened, the president has shown himself offended and does not understand that there is talk of a change of version because "8:28 p.m. is after 7:30 p.m." Literally. That is why he asks the audience: "When have I lied?" Paraphrasing Trump, it seems as if the damage done by the DANA was created to annoy him. It is the typical strategy of someone who escapes responsibility and is capable of saying anything without getting his hair up. "8:28 p.m. is after 7:30 p.m." as an exam answer. It seems unbelievable, right? But here nobody fails because politics consists of passing from course to course without studying. Not to mention the expressions used by his party colleagues, such as Ayuso's when she considers that the debt forgiveness is "imposed at gunpoint" just because Catalonia is part of the equation and it is already known that the separatists are terrorists. It takes a while to make a song.

Scientists say that the alignment of the planets is a very curious phenomenon, but that it does not affect life on Earth at all. There is a part of this statement that feels bad, because of the loss of the possibility of well-being, but taking into account the streak that our planet is going through, we only need the interference of the other stars to finish fixing it. So it is better that the strategies to face these megalomaniacs align a little more so that someone can see the planetary alignment in 400 years.
