Exemplary sanction for Rüdiger for his act in the Cup final

The throwing of this object and his "aggressive" attitude constitute a serious sanction and, therefore, will not be carried out in the specific competition, but in any subsequent match on the calendar. For this reason, Rüdiger and Real Madrid chose to apologize through their account to X. The objective, beyond regret, was to get the sanction reduced. The Competition Committee, when a club files an appeal against a red card, usually takes these types of gestures into account to reduce the punishment.
