US executes drone strike against Islamic State target in Afghanistan

The United States executed a drone strike against an Islamic State target in Afghanistan yesterday, the day after the attack on Kabul airport. The action took place in the province of Nangarhār and, according to the US, early indications are that they liquidated the target.
